    3D Laser Scanning
Laser Scanning is the process of capturing the form of an object both quickly and very accurately, enabling you to take it into a CAD 3D environment. This is carried out ‘non contact’ so there is no risk of damage to parts or artifacts. We have the ability to capture prismatic/geometric data to freeform parts, both large and small. The ‘Point Cloud or Scan Data’ captured, can be used for a number of downsteam processes such as Inspection, Rapid Prototyping, CNC Milling, Design, and Reverse Engineering to name a few, and can be applied to a number of industries for example – Automotive / Aerospace / Heritage / Art & Sculpture.

Reverse Engineering
Reverse Engineering is the process of taking a physical part, and through Laser Scanning produce a 3 dimensional CAD surface Model. By employing this technology, parts that have little or no data and/or require modification can quickly and precisely be reproduced (reverse engineered) or modified (re-engineered) delivered in a suitable format i.e. IGES, and fed back into your process chain.

    Gain the penta advantage:

  • Where models/parts exist with no CAD data or have been manually modified away from the original CAD data and need to be reproduced.

  • Components have been damaged and there is no original data source.• Suppliers are unable or reluctant to provide parts/moulds.

  • A record of the part/artifact is required.
